Are you interested in shopping in LBI and browsing the local shops in Beach Haven on your vacation? The best shopping destination is at 9th Avenue on the Bayside, nearby the amusement park and waterpark, in the middle of town. There are two shopping plazas located side by side, called Bay Village and Schooners Wharf. Ship Bottom Brewery

A new addition to Bay Village as of Spring 2016, Ship Bottom Brewery is a great place to chill out with a bottle of handcrafted ale. This company was started in LBI over 20 years ago and the brews are locally inspired. Sit down with a pint of Shoobie American Pale Ale or Barnacle Bottom Stout. Coffee Shop

Cool Beans is a gourmet coffee café right in Bay Village. They have places to sit inside and outside so you can get comfy with a latte and do some light reading or have a chat while shopping in LBI. Don’t forget to pick out some roasted beans to take home with you!

Bookstore

Nestled in at Schooner’s Wharf is a bookstore called Book Swap Café. This unique little shop sells new and used books. It’s a great place for bargain shoppers, because the used books are half off the original retail price. If you want to get even more of a discount, take a gently used book that you no longer want and they will “swap” with you.

Want to recreate Long Beach Island’s amazing surf and turf dishes at home? Visit Spice It Up in Bay Village and pick up the spices, sauces, dried herbs and blends that you’ll need to have in your kitchen. Take a little bit of the Jersey Shore home with you and it will feel like your vacation has been extended.

Christmas Shop

yuleTIDE Christmas Shop is open all summer long and offers a variety of nautical Christmas decorations and gifts. You can also find hand painted ornaments depicting LBI’s local attractions and lighted canvas wall art displaying the Barnegat Lighthouse.


Fun Sights for the Kids

Toystore

The Toy Store has everything fun for the shore including kites, sand toys, mermaid dolls and hermit crabs. This is a great place for kids to pick out a special toy from their Long Beach Island summer vacation.

Petstore

Buddy’s Pet Stop is a pet-friendly place offering everything for cats and dogs including food and treats, toys, shampoo and unique pet-lover gifts such as jewelry and mugs. Bring your kids to pick out a souvenir for their pets back home. They may even find a friendly furry buddy romping around in the store.

Various Lunch Options

There are great places to eat at Bay Village and Schooners Wharf. Look for Bistro 14, Bay Village Pizza, The Windmill Belgian Waffles, and Country Kettle Chowda. You can’t walk very far without passing by a doorway with delicious aromas pouring out. Work up an appetite shopping around, then sample everything that you want to try.


Sweets to Eat

Crust & Crumb Bakery

For baked goods and/or breakfast, go to Crust & Crumb Bakery. They’re best known for their famously gigantic elephant ear pastries but they also sell fresh and delectable pies cakes, cookies and muffins.

Country Kettle Fudge

Since 1961, fresh and creamy fudge has been hand whipped in copper kettles by the artisans at Country Kettle Fudge. Stop by to see the how the fudge is made and taste test the different flavors before you make your selection!

The Candy Store

Stop by The Candy Store for some freshly dipped caramel apples or pulled taffy. Homemade chocolates, gourmet gummi bears and jellybeans are just a taste of what you’ll see at The Candy Store at Schooner’s Wharf.

Find all the gnarly apparel, gear and accessories for the surfer or skater in you at one of Bay Village’s surf shops. While you’re shopping in LBI look for Surf Shack South and Faria’s Surf Shop. Both of these stores are totally legit and have a good variety of boards on site. You can sign up for lessons or just kick it with some local pros.

Bay Village and Schooners Wharf truly has something for everyone. Whether you’re in the mood to relax with a cup of joe or a bottle of beer, or you want to find perfectly unique items to remember your trip by, there’s plenty to do at 9th and Bay! Better yet, most of the shops have awnings and enclosed walkways, so this destination is even perfect for a rainy day. If you’re staying at a hotel in Beach Haven, you won’t be far from this key, shopping district. If you’d rather not walk, hop on a free shuttle and you’ll be shopping in LBI before you know it!
