Set the date for your Jersey Shore Wedding

You’re ready to start calling around and start planning your Jersey Shore wedding, but consider the following things when picking a date.

  1. The weather is still warm in late spring or after Labor Day when the Shore is less crowded with tourists.
  2. Hotel rates are cheaper off-season.
  3. There are lots of festivals and events that take place along the Jersey Shore. The popularity/ size of the event could further affect hotel rates, parking, and prices in general.
  4. To have the sun, fun, and glam of the venues above, it’s best to book at least one and a half years in advance.

Try to keep an open mind when it comes to the time of year. Most brides will choose a date in late spring or early summer, but you can have a beautiful wedding even on a midsummer evening, or an afternoon in the fall or winter. The Shore is a great place to get married any time of the year. The ocean doesn’t freeze up in the winter, and the sand is still soft when it’s cold outside. Some boardwalk shops stay open year-round, and the sun still shines off-season

Plan your dreamy wedding at the Jersey Shore!

No matter which beach town you choose or what time of year you get married, your Jersey Shore wedding will be a stunning event. There is no substitute for having the option to sunbathe with your bridal party the day before, having the ocean as a backdrop for photos, and the glow of the sunset to set the mood for your reception. Pick your favorite wedding venue near Long Beach Island NJ and marry your sweetheart in the romantic fresh air of the Jersey Shore!

I’ve heard it can be pretty windy on the beach, or buggy. I don’t know if I could do a beach wedding in LBI. especially with all the other wedding venues nearby.

I’ve been to a few weddings at the Yacht Club in LBI. It’s a great venue for a wedding. The food there is great too.

  • Stephen August 21, 2016 at 12:43 pm

Just remember to check the sunset times if you want great photos. And don’t plan on going far for photos you don’t want to waste all your time driving.

  • Patricia August 22, 2016 at 7:40 pm

We looked into LBI when we got married. The only problem was that we planned a winter wedding. I think if we were going to have a summer wedding we would have gone with an LBI wedding venue.

There’s something about a wedding near the beach that I love. It just feels like the perfect place to have a wedding. I love the Icona in Diamond Head Beach. It’s far enough out of the way it feels secluded.

  • Deborah August 26, 2016 at 5:53 pm

I’ve been to a few weddings throughout NJ. I have to say I love going to Cape May for a wedding. It has such a romantic vibe to it.

  • David September 2, 2016 at 1:40 pm

I would recommend getting married sometime in September if you are thinking of a Jersey Shore wedding. It’s less crowded in September and the town and beaches won’t be stuffed with shoobies.

  • Sarah September 2, 2016 at 1:41 pm

I love the wedding venues on the Jersey Shore. Another really great location not mentioned here is the Windrift in Avalon. I’ve been to a few weddings there and that venue is great.

  • Michael September 3, 2016 at 11:01 pm

Please do have a wedding at 5:00 in the afternoon at the Jersey shore! It’s the absolute worst time for a wedding. It’s super hot and crowded. Evening is the best time. Talk to you wedding venue and see what they suggest.

  • Olivia September 5, 2016 at 11:13 am

I really enjoy weddings that are on the bay. Especially if the wedding venue has a dock that you can walk out on.

  • Jacob September 5, 2016 at 11:15 am

Depending on the time of year you get married at the shore the traffic can be a nightmare. My friend got married recently in LBI on a saturday and it took me FOREVER to get to the wedding venue. The shore traffic had everything so backed up We missed half the wedding ceremony.

  • Stephanie September 6, 2016 at 10:58 pm

My favorite is the spray beach yacht club. I love all the character and history it has. Perfect wedding venue for a Jersey Shore wedding.

  • Donna September 7, 2016 at 11:15 pm

I’m not a huge fan of beach weddings. They are always so hot, or the wind is whipping. I would rather have a wedding on the bay in a venue that has a great view but is indoor.
