Best Quality Hotel
Spray Beach Hotel 2399 Atlantic Avenue, Beach Haven
One of the best towns on the island is Beach Haven. You get the convenience of being close to various attractions, including the Fantasy Island Amusement Park, and you can avoid the packed streets of Surf City and the rest of central LBI.
The Spray Beach Hotel is the best option for everyone, from families to young couples to professionals. Part of what makes the hotel so alluring is its instant beach access. You don’t have to walk far to get to the water – just exit your room, and you’re already on the sand!
Even better, you can dine on the beach at the Sand Dollar Restaurant. Spray Beach Hotel is one of the few resorts with an ocean-view restaurant, so take advantage of it. Afterward, you can relax by the pool or work on your tan. Spray Beach also offers in-unit whirlpool tubs, so be sure to mention that when booking your stay.
Most Convenient Hotel – Hotel LBI, 350 W 8th St. Ship, Ship Bottom
Located at the entrance to LBI, you can’t miss this hotel. Not only is it on the main drag, but it’s the newest resort on the island, making it a shining beacon for travelers and residents alike. While you don’t get the same level of beach access as other resorts like Spray Beach, Hotel LBI comes with a slew of amenities.
Because this hotel is so new, all of the rooms are expertly crafted and well-stocked. You do get a full-service kitchen in your suite, but chances are you’ll be dining out most of the time anyway. The hotel does have an indoor pool area and jacuzzi so that you can enjoy them all year long.
When you’re ready to head to the beach, the hotel has a shuttle service, and you can rent bicycles to help you explore the rest of Long Beach Island. Once you’ve had your fun, call the hotel, and they’ll pick you up.
Best Value Hotel – Mariner Inn 13401 Long Beach Blvd, Beach Haven
If you’re looking to get the most bang for your buck, then the Mariner Inn is one of the top spots on the Jersey Shore. It’s just a short walk to the beach, and the Inn is on Long Beach Blvd, which means you have easy access to many of the restaurants and attractions in Beach Haven. For those that want to explore the Bay side of LBI, Mariner is just a stone’s throw from the marina.
The rooms here are spacious and come with everything you need to enjoy your stay. While there isn’t dining on-site, there are so many restaurants within walking distance that you’ll want to try them all. Also, because the Mariner Inn is the sister hotel of Spray Beach, you can visit the Sand Dollar whenever you like.
Drifting Sands Hotel 119 E 9th St., Ship Bottom
Just down the road from Hotel LBI, the Drifting Sands Hotel is a beachfront property. So, if you like the idea of being right on the water, this is an excellent choice. Also, because it’s centrally located on LBI, it’s an ideal starting point to explore much of the island. Even better, those with pets will appreciate Drifting Sands’ accommodations. Many of the guests bring their furry friends along, so feel free to bring Fido on your next trip.
The Island Guest House 207 3rd St, Beach Haven
If you prefer a bed and breakfast experience, then the Island Guest House will make you feel right at home. Each room is gorgeously decorated, and the on-site staff is friendly and helpful throughout your stay. Places like this are perfect for making new friends, as the intimate location and breakfast buffet encourage interaction with your fellow travelers. Not only that, but the beach is just a couple of blocks away.
The Gables Historic Inn and Restaurant 212 Centre St, Beach Haven
Long Beach Island has a long and storied history, and you can be a part of it by staying at the Gables Historic Inn. Built in 1904, this five-room resort and restaurant is one of the oldest on the island. It has a distinct Victorian flair to it, making it ideal for both a weekend getaway or a special occasion. The rooms are a bit pricey, but you get high-end accommodations and access to one of the best restaurants on the island.
Sea Shell Resort and Beach Club 10 S Atlantic Ave, Beach Haven
Our final stop is the Sea Shell Resort, or “The Shell,” as the locals call it. As far as beach resorts go, you’ll feel like you’re in the Caribbean, thanks to the tropical-inspired decor and atmosphere. Also, because the Shell is on the beach, you can feel the spray of the sea right outside your room. When it comes to dining and attractions, The Shell has multiple restaurants and a bar, so you can stay close by and get the full Jersey Shore experience.
