There are great things to do in LBI in September and October, so take advantage of the last several warm weather days and check out these fall events in LBI!
The 28th Annual Chowderfest
Don’t miss LBI’s Chowderfest Cook-Off if you’d like a memorable thing to do at the end of summer! Ticketholders have unlimited access to chowder tastings and can vote for the best bowl to see which restaurants will be named the winners. Stop by Taylor Field for great food, end of the year shopping deals and live musical entertainment.
LBI FLY International Kite Festival
Last year, LBI introduced a new, exciting thing to do in early October. This four-day International Kite Festival involves multiple locations on the island. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the educational presentations, races and competitions, kite-making activities, and the after party!
Ship Bottom Irish Festival
You can catch the Irish Festival in September for more fun things to do in the Ship Bottom section of LBI. Tickets at the gate are $10 and kids 14 and under are free. There will be a 5k run, live music and vendors, so come out and channel your inner Irishman!
The hotel rooms in LBI are in high demand during these popular events, so pick a hotel that is close to the things you want to do and book your room fast! Plan your vacation well in advance and you won’t have any trouble.
Remember that free shuttle buses drive up and down the island during summer months. It’s a quick and easy way to get around.
